BIO golden Tatar buckwheat dumplings are an exceptionally high-quality pasta made from Tatar buckwheat – naturally gluten-free, rich in rutin, flavonoids and minerals. Due to their unique texture, they go perfectly with cream and tomato sauces.
The recipe by Mr. Peter Kotar, long-time head chef in Dolenjske Toplice, combines home-made flavors, top-quality local ingredients and simple preparation. The result is a perfect dish for a family lunch or a warm dinner – nutritious, aromatic and authentically homemade.

Ingredients:
300 g bio golden Tartary buckwheat spirals
120 g dried meat, sliced into thin strips
2 tbsp olive oil
200 g homemade tomato basil sauce
80 g soft spicy cheese (chili cheese)
60 g butter
100 ml cooking cream
40 g grated Parmesan
Procedure:
Preparing the dried meat:
Slice the dried meat into thin strips and fry them in a hot pan until crispy.
Sauce:
Pour in the tomato basil sauce, add the spicy cheese, and simmer gently over low heat until the flavors combine.
Cooking the spirals:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add 2 tbsp olive oil, and cook the spirals according to package instructions (al dente).
Important: Do not rinse the pasta. Simply drain it and add it directly to the sauce while still hot.
Combining:
Gently simmer the pasta in the sauce for a moment, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Creamy finish:
Mix the cooking cream with the grated Parmesan and stir it into the warm pasta to create a rich, silky sauce.
Serving:
Serve immediately. Add extra Parmesan or a pinch of chili if desired.
