BIO Quinoa with Chicken in Tomato Sauce

BIO quinoa is an extremely nutritious food, often called a "superfood" - it contains all nine essential amino acids, lots of fiber, minerals and antioxidants. Due to its neutral, slightly nutty aroma, it is the perfect base for healthy meals.
Combined with chicken and homemade tomato sauce, it creates a balanced, filling and delicious meal that is quick to prepare, gluten-free and great for everyday nutrition.

Ingredients:
180 g of organic quinoa,
300 g chicken breast,
1 onion,
2 cloves of garlic,
250 ml homemade tomato sauce,
1 teaspoon salt,
1/2 teaspoon pepper,
olive oil and
a handful of fresh basil or parsley.
Procedure:
Preparing quinoa:
Rinse the quinoa thoroughly under running water. Cook in a 1:2 ratio ( quinoa to water) for 12–15 minutes, then let it rest to absorb the moisture.
Chicken:
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, season with salt and pepper, and quickly fry in olive oil until golden brown.
Sauce:
Add the chopped onion, garlic and tomato sauce. Cook for 8–10 minutes until the sauce thickens and combines.
Gently stir the cooked quinoa into the tomato sauce with chicken. Season with additional seasoning if necessary.
Service:
Serve warm, sprinkled with basil or parsley.
