Buckwheat groats are a nutritious and versatile ingredient, perfect for preparing quick and healthy meals. Combined with an egg, fresh vegetables and your favourite toppings, they create a balanced plate that keeps you full and gives you energy. The recipe can easily be adapted to your taste – add tuna, avocado, cheese or any other favourite side.

Ingredients:

  • 100 g buckwheat groats

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 fresh cucumber

  • 1 tablespoon sour cream or yogurt

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Optional additions:

  • Fresh vegetables such as tomato, zucchini, avocado, bell pepper, etc.

  • Tuna or roasted chicken

  • Cottage cheese or cheese

  • Fresh herbs such as parsley or chives

Procedure:

  1. Cook the buckwheat groats in lightly salted water for about 10 minutes, then drain.

  2. In a pan, fry the egg sunny-side up in a little olive oil, or prepare scrambled eggs if preferred.

  3. Cut the cucumber into small cubes.

  4. Arrange the cooked buckwheat groats, egg, cucumber, and a spoonful of sour cream or yogurt on a plate.

  5. Add any optional toppings you like and season with salt, pepper, or fresh herbs.


    Tip:

    This meal can be prepared in countless ways — you can add different protein toppings, vegetables, or sauces to the buckwheat groats and create your own version to suit your taste.
