AWARD FOR THE MOST INNOVATIVE FOOD PRODUCT 2020

We are pleased to announce that we have received the prestigious Most Innovative Food Product 2020 award in the pasta category for our Golden Tartary Buckwheat Valvice from Mlin Rangus®. The award was presented by the Nutrition Institute, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food.
Tartary buckwheat valvice are a new and original pasta product, made from Slovenian organically grown Tartary buckwheat flour and organically grown wheat flour. Tartary buckwheat flour naturally contains the flavonoids rutin and quercetin.
Rutin is known for its beneficial role in supporting cardiovascular health. According to recent scientific findings, quercetin may also help inhibit enzymes that break down starch, which can be beneficial as part of a balanced diet for people managing blood sugar levels.
The unique wavy shape of valvice has a double purpose. Sauces cling better to wavy pasta than to flat noodles, making dishes even more appealing. Buckwheat pasta is often known to stick together after cooking, but with our Tartary buckwheat valvice, the wavy shape helps prevent sticking and improves the overall texture.
